Born and raised in Canberra, George wanted to be a performer from the age of 5 after seeing his first theatre and puppet show, captivated by the power of imagination, storytelling and character.
He grew up with a love of music, the theatre and entertaining friends and family. After graduating Year 12 he went on to work in retail for 15 years – people-to-people contact – learned the guitar, taught himself to sing, did Greek dancing and graduated with a Certificate 4 in Acting at Perform Australia. Since then his theatre credits include Robert Beare in Tempo Theatre’s Mother and Son, Nigel Lawrence in Agatha Christie’s Love From A Stranger, the voice of Cecil the Talking Budgie in Tempo Theatre’s The LoveBirds, Jersey Boys with the Canberra Philharmonic Society, various characters in Immersive Interactive theatre shows, cabarets with Green Oak Theatre, film work in Blacklight and Total Control, independent movies, extras work in Season 2 of Austin – all while working full-time as a security guard.
George will make his directorial debut with Tempo Theatre directing TABITHA by Arnold Ridley and Mary Cathcart Borer at the Belconnen Theatre in October-November 2026.
This is George’s first show with Greek Theatre Now. He is thrilled to be the Priest of Zeus and part of the Chorus. He hopes you thoroughly enjoy the show and it leaves you feeling entertained, inspired and uplifted! It’s a pleasure to perform for you.
