Award-winning Canberra company Greek Theatre Now seeks 6 to 12 people for a Greek Chorus for its production of Sophocles’ Oedipus the King at the Saw Avenue Amphitheatre, Kings Park & Botanic Garden, Perth, Western Australia, 24-28 September 2026.

Wear: Comfortable shoes and clothing. There will be movement.
Seeking: A strong voice, good diction, fitness, mobility, good sense of rhythm, basic vocal skills and a strong imagination are a plus. All experience levels welcome.

Rehearsals: Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. Not every weekend.
Honorarium: Each Chorus member will receive $200.

  • Friday 25 September 10.30 am (finish 12.10 pm) and 1.30 pm (finish 3.10 pm) (performance for schools)
  • Saturday 26 September, Sunset Performance, 4 pm (finish 5.40 pm)
  • Sunday 27 September 2.30 pm (finish 4.10 pm)
  • Monday King’s Birthday public holiday 28 September 2.30 pm (finish 4.10 pm).
