Greek Theatre Now's 2025 production of Sophocles' Antigone, Burbidge Amphitheatre, Australian National Botanic Gardens, Canberra.

Greek Theatre Now’s 2025 production of Sophocles’ Antigone at the Australian National Botanic Gardens has been nominated for two Canberra Area Theatre Awards. The awards cover productions in Canberra and southern New South Wales in 2025.

The Antigone Chorus has been nominated for Best Ensemble in a Play. Congratulations Chorus Leaders Kate Eisenberg and Neil McLeod and Chorus Members Jessica Beange, Selene Thomson, Sienna Curnow, Sarah Hull, Crystal Mahon, Samuel Thomson, Justice-Noah Malfitano, Alastair McKenzie and Michael J Smith, choreographer Lachlan Ruffy and director Cate Clelland.

Michael J Smith, as Teiresias, has been nominated for Best Actor in a Featured Role. Congratulations Michael and director Cate Clelland.
