Liam O’Connor – Oedipus 2026

Liam has been engaged in the performing arts for over a decade. Originally starting as a member of the local ukulele club, Liam has been a member of numerous bands and music groups before beginning his foray into theatre in early 2021. After spending three years sharpening his improvisation skills, Liam began studying theatre professionally in 2024, and has since featured in a number of local Canberra productions. Some of his recent work includes being part of the tech crew on the set of Mary Poppins Jr. and an ensemble member in school productions ofStories in the Dark and Little Shop of Horrors. The latter was his first musical show.

In between productions, Liam spends most of his time debating current affairs in his school politics class. In his free time, he umpires at his local netball club. This helps develop his leadership skills.

Planning to graduate Year 12 in 2026 with Honours in Drama, Liam envisions a future with computer programming and theatre at its core. He is excited to be taking his first steps towards that dream with Greek Theatre Now’s 2026 production of Sophocles’ Oedipus the King.
