“My name is Harvey and I’m 11 years old. I enjoy performing because I love becoming a character, telling a story and sharing it with an audience.
“I most recently appeared in Matilda Jr as the Escapologist. I’ve also performed as Young Prince Fred in Cursed – The Pantomime and as Billy in Assassins, and I’m always excited to take on new characters and discover different styles of performance.
“When I’m not rehearsing, I’m usually training in the gym. I’m a competitive gymnast and spend a lot of time working on strength, skills, routines and competitions. Gymnastics has taught me discipline, focus, determination and the value of putting in the work to achieve a goal. I also enjoy the performance side of gymnastics, which connects naturally with my love of theatre.
“I’m really excited to be performing in Greek Theatre Now’s production of Sophocles’ Oedipus the King. It’s my first experience with Greek tragedy, and I’ve enjoyed discovering a style of theatre that is very different from the productions I’ve done before.
“I’m looking forward to working with the cast and creative team and being part of bringing this powerful and enduring story to the outdoor stage.”
